Your faces I have
known.
In dusty mirrors you
have shown,
What was, what is,
what could be,
The best and worst of
humanity.
Rolling, crawling,
standing up,
You sip your time
from the cup.
You walk, you run,
you have your fun.
You spend your life
in the sun.
But evening comes
like a thief.
You look back, your
time was brief.
What felt so long, is
here and gone
Yielding now to
approaching dawn.
Cherish the lessons
becoming past,
Both good and bad,
make them last
But at first light
take the step.
Be bold, be brave,
leave no regrets.
